Sacramento County Public Law Library Offers 2 Hours MCLE

California Homeowners' Associations: Discrimination, Civil Rights and Foreclosure

October 16, 2009 (Friday)
2:00pm to 4:00pm
Instructors: Marjorie Murray, President, Center for CA Homeowner Association Law and Michael L. Johnson, Attorney at Law

State law lets California's 46,000 homeowner associations foreclose - just like banks - when a homeowner falls behind on paying assessments. Do associations foreclose disproportionately against seniors and the disabled? This class will cover association foreclosure and its intersection with fair housing, civil rights and discrimination issues.
