Placer County’s new $54 million courthouse opened its doors July 15. The Bill Santucci Justice Center is located at 10820 Justice Center Drive in Roseville. The justice center is named after the late Bill Santucci, who served as a Roseville city councilman and a Placer County supervisor.
The court features nine courtrooms and will serve to replace the courtrooms at the county's old DeWitt Center in Auburn, the Roseville Court, and small courtrooms in Colfax and Lincoln. The Historic Courthouse located at 101 Maple Street in Auburn will remain open following refurbishing, as will the courtrooms at the Placer County jail in Auburn and in Lake Tahoe.
The court’s mailing address is P.O. Box 619072, Roseville, CA 95661-9072. In-person civil, criminal and family law filings should be brought to the new courthouse on Justice Center Drive. Located just to the west of the lobby entrance is the clerk’s office and the file research window. A digitized “take-a-number” process has been instituted, much like your local DMV. You select the type of filing and a number is issued. A reader board alerts you when it is your turn and which window to approach. Plush leather seating is provided while you wait.
